Your information

Privacy policy

Website information updated September 30, 2026.

This page explains the information used by the Sugar Street Sourdough website. For questions about your information, email elise@sugarstreetsourdough.com.

When you send a message

Our contact form collects your name, email address, optional subject, and message. Wholesale enquiries also ask for your business name and location. We use those details to respond to your enquiry. Sending a message does not subscribe you to marketing.

Messages are sent to the contact service operated for Sugar Street at api.designedbydoers.com. Please avoid including payment details or other sensitive information in your message.

Your shopping cart

The shop saves your chosen products and quantities in your browser’s local storage so your cart can remain available between visits. Local storage is stored on your device. You can remove cart items or clear the website’s browser data to delete that saved cart.

Payment details are entered through the checkout provider, not in this website’s cart. The shop sends product choices and quantities to its checkout service to prepare your checkout.

For digital purchases and Summit bookings, Sugar Street stores order choices, checkout references, payment status, and receipt details in Google Firebase to deliver purchased files and manage reservations. Receipt details include the buyer’s name and email, payment date, and the card brand and last four digits when available. These details appear in your purchase email. Summit deposit records also include a Stripe customer reference and the remaining balance due date. Stripe handles card payments; Sugar Street does not store full card numbers or security codes.

We use the email address provided at checkout for Summit booking confirmations, retreat information, and digital purchase receipts with private download links. Digital purchase emails copy Elise so she can help with your order. We store each message and its sending status with your purchase to handle delivery problems and avoid duplicate emails. This does not subscribe you to marketing.

Purchase and booking emails are sent through Resend, which processes the recipient address, message content, and delivery information to send the email. See Resend’s privacy policy.

Your browser temporarily saves a checkout reference so you can return to an unfinished checkout. Keep your download confirmation link private: anyone with that link can access its purchased files.

Ordering and other services

Bread preorders and class bookings take place on Hotplate. Shop checkout uses Stripe. Information you provide to those services is handled under their own privacy policies and the information presented during checkout.

Links to Instagram, Amazon, maps, and other external websites take you to services with their own information practices. Any signup for updates on Hotplate is handled by Hotplate.

The retreat interest form is hosted on Google Forms. Information you choose to submit is sent through Google to the retreat organizer. Completing the interest form does not make a retreat booking.

Hosting, calendars, and technical information

This website is served through Google Firebase Hosting. Hosting and connected services may process technical request information, such as IP addresses and browser information, to deliver their services and protect them from abuse.

The website’s schedule loads public event information from Google Calendar. This connects your browser to Google, which may process request information. You can also follow a calendar link to open the schedule directly with Google. See Google’s privacy policy for its practices.

Optional website analytics

If you choose “Allow analytics,” we use Google Analytics through Firebase to understand visits, page views, and which links people use. Analytics uses first-party cookies containing browser identifiers, so this information is pseudonymous rather than completely anonymous. Google also processes device and browser information and approximate location to provide reports. We do not enable advertising personalization or Google signals.

We send only fixed page names and link destinations. We do not send names, email addresses, form contents, order details, checkout references, URL query strings, or referrer addresses. Private booking confirmation and download pages are excluded from analytics.

Analytics stays off until you allow it. You can choose “No thanks” or change your mind using “Privacy choices” in the footer. Declining does not affect shopping, booking, or the calendar. We also respect Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track browser signals. Your choice is saved locally in your browser; analytics cookies expire after 90 days and are removed when you turn analytics off on this site. Previously collected reports are not erased by changing this choice.

See Google’s privacy policy for more about its handling of information. External ordering and other linked services may use their own cookies and similar technologies.

Questions and requests

Contact elise@sugarstreetsourdough.com to ask about information you have sent to Sugar Street or to request its correction or deletion. If your question concerns an order or account with a separate provider, that provider may also need to help with your request.
